I would like to take this space to say “Hello” to the blogosphere and to formally introduce myself. My name is Thomaz Marcondes  and I will be blogging for Green Equations about the environment and sustainability, particularly the environmental impact of economic development in Brazil.  As a Brazilian citizen who has spent the majority of the last decade in the United States, I feel I have a unique perspective on the change my home country has experienced during my absence.  It is with this blog that I hope to gain a clear understanding of where the Brazilian Environment is going. Is there any other country in the world that is known for its environment more than Brazil? Brazil is the Amazon, and the Amazon is Brazil.
