We have been on a family trip to Alaska for the past week.  It was just amazing and helps to remind me of how important it is to protect our planet and the natural beauty that it offers.  Truth be told I am not so sure that taking 2,000 people on a cruise ship up and down the pristine coast is all that environmentally responsible? However I will say that we were very pleasantly surprised at how much attention was paid to keeping the places we went to clean, people seemed to “get it”. Given all of our problems with climate, energy, (the gulf!), it was great to be able to relax and enjoy the beauty our nation has to offer….
